Bollywood sweetheart Amyra Dastur of ‘Issaq’ fame has been
finding it an ordeal speaking Tamil for director KV Anand’s ‘Anegan’. But
Dhanush comes to the rescue, teaching her the finer details and nuances of
speaking when delivering her dialogue.
So how is the teacher-student getting along? “I have an AD
speak the lines slowly and record it to be replayed and learn. It takes me
almost one full day to get the dialogue right while shooting. Yet I face
hitches at some places, and it is Dhanush who helps me in these places. When I
forget a word or two, he helps me in getting them right.
Dhanush is a great person to work with” says Amyra. Further,
she also believes that Dhanush understands her position than most others in the
crew, given that the actor went through similar situation in ‘Raanjhnaa’.
“Dhanush himself has told me how difficult it was for him when he shot for
‘Raanjhnaa’.
He says he didn’t know any Hindi when he started working on
the film, and asks me to take it light than get nervous over my mistakes. He
helps me get to focus, without getting too bothered about my flaws in Tamil.
But I have learnt the language a little now and can speak everyday phrases like
‘Epdi irukeenga’ and ‘Saapteengala’. It is a great experience learning the
language!” the actress concludes.
