Vijay Antony's Shoot for Salim Brings Traffic to 

a Standstill at Vadapalani

After tasting success as an actor with last year’s Naan, music director Vijay Antony is said to be spending more on the acting front than in scoring music. The music director, one of the busiest music directors around, tested waters last year by making his acting debut with the thriller Naan which did reasonably well at the box-office.

Thanks to the film doing well at the box-office, Vijay has signed up three more projects viz. Salim,Nambiar and Thirudan. Salim is now being shot at in Chennai. Recently, the crew shot at Vadapalani and at the every-busy Arcot Road stretch between the Vadapalani Bus Terminus and Kamala Multiplex.

This shooting schedule threw the traffic on the busy and narrow road out of gear as hundreds of curious onlookers gathered at the entrance to the multiplex to cat a glimpse of Vijay Antony and others who were shooting. When the ‘break’ was called by the director, Vijay Antony decided to meet them and interact.

It was enough for the crowd to surround the actor seeking autographs and expressing its wish to get photographed with him. Vijay politely obliged them and his generosity caused more than an hour’s delay for the film’s crew to get the shoot back on track.
